Mobile ceramic coating in Colchester and Essex

Our mobile service brings the coating to your address — the same products and process we use at our Hythe Quay studio, done on your driveway or in your garage. We cover Colchester and parts of Essex; call 07778 902278 to check coverage for your postcode and whether your location suits the work.

Studio vs mobile — an honest comparison

Finish qualityThe benchmarkThe same, when conditions allow it

The honest summary: mobile is genuinely convenient and the finish is the same when conditions cooperate. But we will not pretend a driveway equals a studio — if your car needs heavy correction or the weather will not play ball, we will recommend the studio, or reschedule. A compromised coating helps nobody.

Areas we cover

How mobile booking works

  1. Call or request a quote. Tell us your car, your postcode and what the parking situation looks like (driveway, garage, carport, street).
  2. We check the location. We confirm whether your space suits the work and talk through anything we need on the day.
  3. We agree the date — weather permitting. Coatings are never applied in rain or on wet cars. If the forecast turns, we reschedule rather than risk the finish.
  4. We come to you. Same process as the studio: wash, decontamination, preparation, coating, cure schedule explained.

Mobile service questions

Do you need a garage for mobile ceramic coating?
The work needs a dry, sheltered space — a garage or carport is ideal, but any covered area out of wind and rain can work. We confirm whether your location suits the job when you book; we will not start work somewhere the coating cannot cure properly.

What happens if it rains?
We do not apply coatings in the rain or on wet cars. If the forecast turns against us, we reschedule — we would rather move the appointment than compromise the finish. This is also why we are honest about mobile limits on this page.

Is the finish the same as at the studio?
When conditions are right, yes — the same products, the same process, the same care. The difference is control: the studio has purpose-built lighting and a controlled environment, which is why multi-stage paint correction usually happens there.

Do I need to provide power and water?
We will confirm exactly what we need at your address when you book — call us and we will talk through your setup. Every location is different, so we check rather than assume.

Which areas do you cover for mobile work?
We offer a mobile service across Colchester and parts of Essex. Call us to check coverage for your postcode — if we cannot reach you, we will say so rather than promise and disappoint.

Can you do paint correction as a mobile service?
Light correction sometimes, but multi-stage work needs the studio's lighting and controlled conditions. Ask us about your car and we will advise which location suits the job.

Want us to come to you?

Tell us your car and your postcode, and we will confirm coverage and price it up — no obligation.
